Decide how much of the day is for activities
Plan for both riders and guests who prefer to relax aboard.
A yacht day with one activity
Keep sightseeing, a meal and relaxing aboard as the main plan. Add one defined session so it fits without squeezing the rest of the charter.
An activity-led gathering
Start with the number of riders and their experience. Once the session arrangements are clear, choose a yacht where the group can spend the rest of the day.
A mixed group
Give non-participants a comfortable place to sit, shade and refreshments. Their time aboard matters just as much as the riders' turns.
Allow time for the whole session
The time someone spends riding is only one part of the schedule.
Meet and prepare
Allow for boarding, reaching the activity area, changing and any transfer to a specialist craft. Confirm where you will meet the activity team.
Brief and take turns
Riders need time for equipment fitting and instruction before their turns. Check how the available boards or craft will be shared; a larger group may spend longer waiting between rides.
Return and settle
Leave time to collect equipment, return to the yacht, dry off and eat. Avoid arranging the main meal for the exact moment the final rider returns.
Separate the yacht from the activity service
The yacht gives your group a place to gather, but it may not carry the water toys you want or be suitable for towing wake sports. Some activities need a specialist craft, operator and suitable place to run the session.
Request an itemised proposal for the yacht, activity time, instructor or crew, equipment and transfers. Agree who handles changes if weather affects part of the booking. Sometimes a yacht cruise can go ahead when a particular activity cannot.
Before you request a combined charter
Can all of these activities happen beside the same landmark?
The captain and activity provider need to agree a suitable area, conditions and route. A sightseeing photograph cannot establish where a water-sports session can operate.
What should we tell you about the participants?
Include how many people will take part, their ages, experience and confidence in the water. Identify anyone who wants instruction, along with guests who will stay aboard.
Are activities included in the yacht price?
Only services listed in your confirmed proposal are included. Equipment, instruction and specialist craft can be separate items even when arranged as part of the same outing.
