Dubai yacht rental questions

Start here for questions about choosing and booking a private yacht in Dubai. Some details can be explained in advance; guest limits, the route, crew and costs need to be checked for the offered vessel and date. Your written proposal is the reference for what you are booking.

Plan this charter ↗

Begin with the trip you want

Guest count, departure area and duration usually narrow the choice first. Tell us whether everyone needs a seat at the same table, whether you plan to sleep aboard and how important swimming or sailing is to the group. A yacht’s length alone does not describe the usable space.

For children or anyone with access needs, ask about the specific boarding arrangement, steps, rails and equipment. Photographs help, but a written answer about the proposed boat is more useful than an assumption based on the yacht class.

Use the proposal for the final answer

Keep the specification, price breakdown, agreed extras and terms together. They describe what you are actually booking. A route shown in a guide, a photograph on a category page or an example outing should not be treated as confirmation of a particular vessel or service.

If something affects your decision, ask about it before paying. This includes the departure marina, catering, fuel treatment, weather arrangements and any timing that connects with your plans ashore.

Questions that help narrow the choice

You do not need to arrive with a model name. A brief such as 'a family lunch, somewhere shaded for everyone and a return before our evening plans' gives a useful basis for selection. Add the guest count, date and budget, then use the proposed boats to refine the details.

It is worth separating preferences from requirements. An outdoor meal may be a preference; a guest needing a suitable route from the quay to a toilet may have a requirement that decides the vessel. Explain practical needs while the choice is still open, and ask for an answer about the actual boat.

Before you step aboard

Your questions,
answered.

Do I need boating experience?

State whether you want a crewed charter. The proposal identifies the crew arrangement. If you enquire about operating a vessel yourself, eligibility and any required qualifications need separate confirmation.

What does the charter price include?

There is no single inclusion list for every yacht. Read the quote for crew, fuel, food, drinks, ports and extras, and ask for any unclear item to be explained.

Can children come aboard?

Include their number and ages in the enquiry. Suitability, passenger limits and appropriate equipment must be checked for the offered vessel.

Can we change the route?

Share preferences before booking. The captain assesses what is practical for the vessel, charter period and conditions; a preferred stop is not a guaranteed stop.

What should we bring?

Follow the boarding instructions. Ask about footwear, towels, identification and storage before packing, because these details vary by charter.

Can we bring a photographer or decorator?

Request approval before committing to a supplier. Include their attendance in the headcount and explain their equipment, access and setup needs. A short charter may need additional preparation time, and the yacht’s rules will determine what can be attached or brought aboard.

Can we bring pets?

Ask about the particular animal and yacht before booking. Do not assume a pet is accepted because the trip is private. The operator needs to agree the arrangement, and any conditions should be recorded with the proposal.

Can we finish at a different marina?

State both locations in the enquiry. Access, the vessel’s schedule and repositioning can affect the arrangement and price. A round-trip proposal does not include another landing point unless that change is agreed.

Can one person stay ashore while the others cruise?

Tell the organiser who will actually board and whether anyone expects to join later. A late pickup or separate drop-off needs a suitable, permitted location and enough time; it should not be assumed possible during a standard outing.
